Booking a session is easy! What location should I choose for my session?

Photo sessions can take place in a variety of beautiful and meaningful locations, depending on the look and feel you want to capture. Whether it’s outdoors in a wide open field, at a favorite park, on a scenic back road, or somewhere that holds personal significance, the setting helps tell your story. Sessions can also take place in or around your own home, which often creates a warm, cozy, and relaxed atmosphere—perfect for capturing genuine moments and natural interactions.

What’s the best time of the day to schedule a photo session?

The best time of day for a photo session depends on the lighting, but in most cases, the most beautiful results happen in the hours leading up to sunset. Scheduling your session about 1–2 hours before sunset allows for soft, flattering light, with the golden hour—about one hour before sunset—providing the warm, glowing tones that create dreamy, timeless photos. Midday outdoor sessions can be more challenging due to harsh overhead sunlight and strong shadows, unless plenty of shade is available. For indoor sessions, mid-day is often ideal, as natural light is brightest and fills the space beautifully without being too harsh. Choosing the right time helps ensure your photos have the best possible lighting and overall feel.

How should I dress for my photo session?

When preparing for your photo session, the most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Choose outfits that match the overall mood or style you’re hoping to achieve, whether that’s casual, cozy, elegant, or playful. For families, coordinating colors and patterns—rather than matching exactly—helps create a polished, timeless look while still allowing everyone’s personality to shine. What happens if I have an outdoor session and the weather is bad?

If you’ve scheduled an outdoor session and the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry—we’ll make a plan that works best for everyone. In the event of rain, storms, or unfavorable conditions, your session will be rescheduled for the soonest available date that works for both you and me. My goal is to ensure you receive beautiful, high-quality images, and sometimes that means waiting for the right weather to make your session truly shine.

What happens if I need to reschedule my photo session?

If you need to reschedule your photo session, I completely understand that life happens. You may reschedule your session one time with no penalty as long as you notify me at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. After a session has been rescheduled once, it cannot be rescheduled again, so please be sure the new date and time work well for you. This policy helps ensure fairness and allows me to accommodate all clients as smoothly as possible.

How will I receive my photos and how long will it take?

After your photo session, your fully edited images will be delivered digitally straight to your phone number or email for easy viewing and downloading. You can expect to receive your gallery within one to two weeks following your session, depending on the size of the shoot and editing needs. This allows me time to carefully edit each image while ensuring you receive high-quality photos you’ll love and can share for years to come.
